报告人简介: Gerhard Wenz studied chemistry at the Universities of Mainz and Freiburg, Germany, and received his Ph.D. in 1984 on the topochemical polymerization of diacetylenes in the group of Professor Gerhard Wegner. He worded for another year in Freiburg on discotic liquid crystalline polymers at the Hermann-Staudinger-Institute. In 2000, he became full Professor of Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry at Saarland University in Saarbrucken,Germany.In the past decade, his group has mainly worked on the synthesis of hydrophilic polymers,cyclodextrin ,and cellulose derivatives,and on the investigation of self-organization processes in aqueous solution and at planar surfaces.
报告摘要: Synthetic materials are called “smart” if the physical, chemical or biological properties of them are switchable by external stimuli such as light, temperature, pH. Cyclodextrins, cyclic oligomers of glucose are especially well suited for the construction of smart materials they can selectively complex other molecules, called guests and because they are readily available, water soluble and non-toxic. We synthesized polyrotaxanes in which many rings are threaded onto a polymer chain. Since the rates of threading and dissociation can be controlled by external stimuli such as pH, temperature, chemical reagents and even mechanical forces CD these polyrotaxanes can be regarded as smart materials applicable for the programmed delivery of drugs such to certain destinations in the human body.
